# A crypto payment gateway for forex brokers and trading firms

> Give every client deposit its own address, credit the trading account from a signed webhook the moment the payment is confirmed, and move funds out on demand.

## A deposit flow built for per-client accounting

1. The client asks to fund their account. Your backend calls `POST /v1/invoices` with the amount, the network and asset, and your own `referenceId` — the client or deposit ID in your system.
2. Payaries returns a one-time deposit address and locks the rate. You show the address and the network to the client.
3. The invoice moves `pending` → `detected` → `confirming` → `confirmed`.
4. A signed `invoice.status_changed` webhook fires on every change. You verify the signature, dedupe on the idempotency key and credit the account — see [verifying webhook signatures](https://www.payaries.com/guides/verify-crypto-webhook-signatures).
5. Funds are swept to your own wallet on that network, and you withdraw when you need to.

Because every deposit has its own address and reference, there's no shared deposit wallet to reconcile by memo or by amount.

## Why USDT is the usual unit

A dollar stablecoin lets a client fund a dollar-denominated account without a price swing between sending and crediting. Payaries supports USDT on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Tron, and USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum — [the full table is here](https://www.payaries.com/usdt-payment-gateway).

## The cases that cost support time

- **Underpayments** are flagged `underpaid` with the shortfall shown, so you can ask for the balance or refund.
- **Late payments** (mined after the deadline) are held for review, then refunded or settled; a settled one moves the invoice out of `expired` with `latePayment: true` in the webhook.
- **Money that fits no invoice** is recorded as an unclaimed deposit instead of being dropped.
- **Wrong network**: the deposit address is valid on one network only, so show the network beside it. See [how to handle underpaid and late payments](https://www.payaries.com/guides/handle-underpaid-and-late-crypto-payments).

## Withdrawals

Withdrawals go to any address on demand — from the dashboard with two-factor authentication, or from the API. API-created withdrawals run immediately below an auto-approve threshold you set and wait for your own approval above it. Bitcoin withdrawals are not supported yet.

## Compliance stays with you

> **Brokerage is a regulated activity.** Payaries is a technology platform. Whether your business needs a licence or approval to accept, hold or pay out crypto depends on where you are registered, what you do and who your customers are, and Payaries makes no statement about it. Take advice from a qualified local adviser before you launch. Client onboarding and any checks you owe your regulator stay in your own systems — Payaries doesn't replace them.

## Questions

**Can a forex broker use Payaries for client deposits?**
Technically yes: each deposit is an invoice with its own address, and a signed webhook tells your backend when it's confirmed. Whether you may accept crypto deposits is a regulatory question for your own licence and jurisdiction, which Payaries can't advise on.

**How do I match a deposit to a client?**
Set your own referenceId when you create the invoice — for example the client or deposit ID — and use it in the webhook to find the account. Each invoice also has its own one-time deposit address.

**How fast can I credit an account?**
As soon as the invoice reaches its required confirmations your ledger is credited and the webhook fires. The number of confirmations depends on the network.

**Can I pay clients out in crypto?**
Yes. You can withdraw from your wallet to any address on every supported network except Bitcoin, from the dashboard or through the API.
