Accept crypto payments from customers across the Middle East and the Gulf

Most Gulf currencies are pegged to the US dollar, which makes a dollar stablecoin a natural way to pay and be paid across the region. One integration, several networks, and a webhook when each payment is confirmed.

01Why dollar stablecoins fit the Gulf

The currencies of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman are each pegged to the US dollar, and Kuwait's dinar is managed against a basket that is weighted towards it. A customer paying in USDT or USDC is therefore paying in a unit that moves very little against the currency they earn and spend.

02What you integrate once

  • POST /v1/invoices creates an invoice for a fiat amount in the network and asset you choose, locks the rate and returns a one-time deposit address.
  • A signed invoice.status_changed webhook fires on every transition, retried on failure over up to six hours.
  • A dedicated wallet per network, never pooled with other merchants, credited when the invoice is confirmed.
  • On-demand withdrawals to any address, from the dashboard or the API.

The same integration serves customers wherever they are — you don't build a regional version. See the crypto payment API for the full request and response.

03Rules differ sharply by country

If you are based in the UAE, start with the Dubai page or the UAE page.

04Networks

Payaries supports Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Tron for deposits and withdrawals, and Bitcoin for deposits; GET /v1/chains has the live list. Offer the networks your customers actually hold stablecoins on — see USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 and BEP-20 for a comparison.

Questions

Does Payaries work for customers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman?
Payaries is an online API gateway, so it is technically available to any customer who can send crypto to an address. Whether you may sell to or accept crypto from customers in a particular country is a legal question that varies by country — Payaries doesn't advise on it, so take local advice before you launch.
Which stablecoins can I accept?
USDT on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum and Tron, and USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum, with more networks being added. Call GET /v1/chains for the live list.
Are payments reversible?
No. Transactions are irreversible once confirmed on-chain. A refund is a separate transaction you send to the customer.
